Tiffany Lamps are made out of favrile glass, which is patented by Tiffany since 1880 and possesses a very special light. The name Favrile, which is used as the trade name, is a French word (fabrile) and means handmade or handcrafted.

The “Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company” was founded in 1897 and L. C. Tiffany was reportedly inspired by glasses out of Egyptian graves for the production of his famous Tiffany glasses. The Tiffany lamps are appointed with floral decorations like leafs or flowers and animal decorations like the well-known dragonfly. Tiffany Lamps conform to every style of furniture, like Modern Style or Baroyue Style because of their own unique style.
