"Antinea" is a superb Art Deco Dancer on marble-base and signed by D.H. Chiparus. The portrayed woman is wearing a beautiful cape, great good looking underwear and is standing in an exciting statue position. She is standing on tiptoes, arms up in the air and her cape fits her breath taking body. The whole epiphany can be called impressive. The dancing woman is standing on tiptoe on a small shallow marble-base. The signed bronze sculpture is a high quality product, which is as filigree as possible in comparison to the original. The amazing sculpture was made to exhibit or for collectors using.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

The little Romania town Dorohoi is the birthplace of Demetre Haralamb Chiparus, the child of Haralamb and his wife Saveta. Chiparus was born on September 19, 1886. He later became one of the most important artists of the Art Deco. He produced many sculptures made of ivory and bronze, which are called Chryselephantine sculptures. His great and impressive artwork was influenced by several sources of inspiration. He loved the French theatre as well as the Russian ballet. Some of his work was influenced by photos from fashion magazines and others by his interest in Egyptian culture. D. H. Chiparus dies on January 22, 1947 and was buried south of Paris, France.
