Military

“Militaria” or military objects are labelling objects out of the military and police sector from past times, which are used as collector items.

Beside rare originals do also replicas belong to the sector of collectibles. Replicas get evaluated by their historical importance and curiosity.

The collector differs from different pieces of military objects out of different times. Favoured objects are weapons, knifes, uniforms, medals, helmets, coins or other military artefacts and figures or sculptures made of bronze or stannous. Huge parts of military collector items belong to the holding of military museums and they are open to the public through exhibitions.

But beside the public collections many private collectors follow the passion of collecting “Militaria” and most of them decided to collect stuff from one military theme like objects from the Empery, the Third Reich, Weimar Republic or stuff from the NVA. To the group of “Militaria” sculptures and figures belong famous historical personalities like German emperors or famous soldiers appointments. Those figures, sculptures or objects are often designed of bronze or stannous. The so-called German spiked helmet is one of the most popular collecting objects and is reproduces in many different ways. The German spiked helmet is an invention of the Prussian military and was first used in 1843.
