This is an absolute lovely Art Nouveau nude bronze sculpture named "New Necklace", which was designed by Paul Ponsard, a worldwide famous artist. A pretty nude young lady is sitting on a pillow, holding and showing her beautiful necklace. She looks thoughtful to the bottom. The bronze scene is placed on a round shaped marble-plinth. The sculpture is made of 100% finest bronze, casted in our foundry in an amazing agreement to the original example, and is signed on the right side of pillow with Paul Ponsard. This sculpture is an absolute eye-catcher for friends of bronze sculptures as well as Art Nouveau collectors.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
We have nowadays only little information about the life of the famous French artist Paul Ponsard. We know for sure that the sculptor was born in 1882 and that he created many Art Nouveau sculptures and attractive nude sculptures like "New Necklace". The sculptor Paul Ponsard died very young in 1915. His sculptures with the sense of Modern Art and Art Nouveau are today much sought-after pieces of art and reach high sales prices in auctions.
