This sculpture is a very impressive Art Deco bronze dancer and designed by the famous artist Demetre Haralamb Chiparus. This sculpture is one of the best works from the period of Art Deco. The dancing woman is displayed very detailed with a lifting knee and wearing a fine decoration on her head. The sculptor D. H. Chiparus signed the great sculpture, which is connected to a round marble-base. The marble-base completes the great design of the sculpture perfectly. The bronze cast was made of finest material and in comparison with the original; this object is so filigree as possible. This true detailed museum bronze cast is a focal point in every exhibition! The sculpture was made by the famous designer D.H. Chiparus, the famous designer of countless lovely figures. The famous artist and Art Deco sculptor Demetre Haralamb Chiparus was born in Romania and spent his life in Italy and in France. His work was inspired by the French theatre as well as by the Russian ballet and it reflects the beauty of Art Deco. He also created several series of small children at the beginning of his career. But most of his work is characterised by the beauty of dancers and artists. But Demetre H. Chiparus was also very impressed by the Egyptian culture and therefore some of his sculptures are great images of impressive Egyptian culture. Chiparus died in 1947 in Paris and was buried close to the beautiful capital of France.
