Animals are creatures that are separated from Humans even though booth is seen as the same in biological considerations.
Booth are able to think in complex incidents but the Human is the only creature witch is able to develop high civilisations or high crops.
Animals are popular as companion animals, farm animals or art objects. Great litterateurs like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe or Edouart Manet or great painters like Albrecht Dürer used animals in their poems and as motive for their paintings. One of the most popular and world famous animal paintings is the “Hare” painted by Albrecht Dürer in the year 1502. The watercolour picture of Dürer became one of the most popular motives for postcards and posters.
Beside the use of animals for painting and literature motives, animals are favoured objects for sculptures and plastics. The cat and the frog are two of the best-known motives of the Wiener Bronze. The cat became famous as “Dancing Cat in the coffee house”. But beside the cat or the frog all of the so- called domestic animals are popular as motives in artwork. Even the lion, the panther and the elephant or other exotic animals are favoured for sculptures, painting or plastics.
